HELP: WordPress.com no longer importing from Blogger.com

UPDATE: This seems to be a problem for many people now. See WordPress.com Forums: http://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/cannot-import-from-blogger-1/page/3?replies=75#post-337563.
Does anyone know whether this is due to a Google/Blogger.com or WordPress.com change? or whether it is a glitch or a policy change?

Easy Import from Blogger into WordPress

In my ongoing experiments with Blogger.com and WordPress.com I just imported my posts from Blogger.com to WordPress.com with real ease… Wow!
Exporting from both Blogger.com and from WordPress.com to a backup file on my computer was also easy.
